just a few of late for you to try if you haven't....none are super spendy...
*Cline Ancient Vines Mourvedre....yum in a glass. smooth, not too dry, a little fruit. actually, *anything* by Cline is just plain good imho....
*Walnut City Wineworks Pinot Noir....the Reserve Pinot is even better but spendier...from the
Queen Jewel area of Pinots; Willamette Valley, Oregon
*Pillar Box Red. A blend of Aussie grapes....smooth, a little peppery, just darn good. $11 bucks. Found at Haskell's
*Steltzner Claret. Another semi-full bodied, cherry overtones, great with meat :)

In my world, Reds can be many things. Wines, hair colors, Pizza (Reds Savoy!) :)
